Le Petit Manoir
Le Petit Manoir offers spacious and light accommodation for up to 11 people in a quiet village setting. The house has been recently restored with modern conveniences, yet retaining many original features and character. Relax by the large 10 x 5m pool to the front of the house.
The Ground Floor
On the ground floor is a large (32m2) living room with high ceilings, a large original granite fireplace with a cast iron log burner and a floor to ceiling bookcase, full of books, DVDs and CDs, which makes the high ceilinged room feel even bigger. A tv with a video and dvd player and UK satellite tv. Two large comfy leather sofas and 3 occasional chairs give seating for up to 9 adults in comfort. The living room is light and cool in the summer and cosy and warm sat by the large log burner in the winter.
The dining room is furnished with dark wood furniture, which compliment the dark oak flooring. The two large windows allow light to pour into the room. The black granite fireplace adds further character to the high ceilings and chandelier. The table seats 6 people and there is a highchair for smaller guests.
The kitchen is a great place to get together. It has all the modern conveniences you would expect, and more. There is a stainless steel 5 ring gas burn and a double oven, a large american style fridge, and a dishwasher. The focal point is the tall granite fireplace with a a cast iron wood-burner for those cooler evenings. In the centre of the room is a long table which seats 8 and can extend to 10 for larger groups. The kitchen is fully equipped with all manner of equipment for enthusiastic cooks and a great place to entertain.
First and Second Floor
There are two bedrooms on each of the upper floors. All the bedrooms are spacious and they all have an ensuite shower room and two of them have large free-satnding baths. The first floor bedrooms have tall windows and high ceilings making the rooms light and airy. The second floor rooms have double height ceilings, intercrossed with original, rich coloured beams. The four bedrooms can sleep up to 11. Each bedroom has a kingsize bed and three of the bedrooms have an additional bed, or bed settee.
The Garden
We are only footsteps from the centre of the village and the local amenities. The village is surrounded by country lanes, woodland and fields, which is ideal for walking, cycling and taking in the tranquil surroundings.
The house is surrounded by over two acres of land on three sides. To the front of the house is a large lawned area surrounded by a stone wall. Through the gate under the large box tree arch is the swimming pool, which is open from 12 June to 19 September and is surrounded by a paved terrace with sunloungers and parasols (the photo to left was taken before the pool was installed). 
The front garden is sunbathed throughout the day until early evening.
To the rear of the house is an enclosed walled courtyard which in summer is an array of colour with many flowers, pots and baskets. A nice place to enjoy an early evening drink.
The garden is there to be explored. There are tables, chairs, loungers and parasols dotted about for you to relax on.There is a large pond next to the house on the southern side which is framed by a tall oak tree.
